We Iranians are peace-loving people;; we aspire for a genuine and sustainable peace, for our own nation as well as all other members of the great family of humankind. We view such peace as the divine essence of humanity.

The peaceful and humanitarian nature of the Iranian people is well reflected by a poem of our great 13th century national poet; Saadi, which is carved on the main entrance of the United Nation Organization:

Of one essence is the human race
Thusly has creation put the base

One limb impacted is sufficient
For all others to feel the mace

We Iranians, love all other nations. It was one of our ancient kings Cyrus (who lived more than 2500 years ago) who set the example, motto and criterion as to how to treat strangers in war and in peace.

We Iranians wish to be a constructive member of the international community. we believe that :

* Humanity is an indivisible entity
* The world is home to all humans
* No man and no nation are needless of other men and other nations
* No nation is superior or inferior to any other nation.

We Iranians desire to contribute to the enrichment of culture and science and to the sustainability of peace for our nation as well as all others.

We believe that every success in every field by any individual in any part of the world belongs to the human community as a whole. In the same way, we believe that any form of aggression and moral transgression anywhere in the world, brings shame and disgrace to all humans and has a devastating impact on the entire body of human society. That is why each one of us has to take responsibility vis-� -vis all world events. We hope that governments across the world respect and uphold this universal longing of man for peace.

ما ایرانیان خواهان صلحیم ، صلح پایدار و نه فقط برای ملت خویش بل برای همه اعضای خاندان بزرگ بشری و این را بخشی از جنبه خدائی طبیعت بشری می دانیم . اینکه عمیق ترین باور کهن ایرانیان در قالب شعر سعدی بر سردر سازمان ملل منقش است تصادفی نیست . ما قرن ها بر این باور زیسته ایم که

بنی آدم اعضای یک پیکرند که در آفرینش ز یک گوهرند
چو عضوی به درد آورد روزگار دگر عضوها را نماند قرار

هدف ما آباد کردن میهنمان در همه ابعاد همچون جزئی از جهان ودرخدمت همه جهانیان.

ما ایرانیان دیگر مردم جهان را دوست می داریم . رفتار کوروش بزرگ با بیگانگان چه در جنگ چه در صلح هنوز محک رفتار انسانی و رعایت غیرخود است.

ما ایرانیان خواهان پیوستن به جامعه جهانی هستیم و معتقدیم که " جهان خانواده من است " هیچ فردی از هیچ فردی و هیچ ملتی از هیچ ملتی بی نیاز نیست و هیچ ملتی از هیچ ملتی برتر و هیچ ملتی از هیچ ملتی فروتر نیست .

ما آرزومند گسترش غنای فرهنگی و علمی و صلح پایدار برای میهن خویش در کنار همه کشورهای جهان بوده ایم و هستیم .

ما معتقدیم هر موفقیت انسانی در هر گوشه جهان، سعادتی برای همه جامعه بشری است و هر تجاوز اخلاقی در هر کجا که باشد مایه شرمساری و شقاوت همه ابنای بشری است . از این رو تک تک آدمیان را در قبال آنچه در جهان می گذرد مسئوول می دانیم.

We are pleased to inform you that, considering the current state of world affairs and our particularly sensitive situation in Iran, “Mercy for All” charity organization (www.mercyforall.org) has - in partnership with other NGOs - planned a cycling tour around Europe and North America to convey Iranian people’s message of peace, friendship and solidarity to the rest of the world.

During this journey, which will begin on May 5th 2007, fourteen Iranian cyclists will travel city by city across 5 European countries (Italy, France, Germany, U.K) and the United States to communicate the pacifist message of Iranian people, as found in our manifesto, to other nations around the world.

The cyclists will also offer a hand-made emblem of “Miles for Peace”, as a symbol of friendship on behalf Iranian people, to the mayors of the host cities as elected representatives of European and American people.

موسسه خيريه رحمت للعالمين با توجه به شرايط موجود جهان و احساس وظيفه در قبال آنچه در جهان مي گذرد با همكاري ديگر سازمانهاي غيردولتي ايراني در نيمه ارديبهشت سال 86 ،‌سفري براي صلح ،‌دوستي و همزيستي با جهان را با عنوان ‌فرسنگ ها براي صلح ‌برنامه ريزي كرده است .
در اين سفر چهارده ايراني ، در پنج كشور ايتاليا، ‌فرانسه ، آلمان ،‌ انگليس و آمريكا به صورت نمادين فاصله بين چندين شهر را با دوچرخه طي مي كنند و پيام صلح مردم ايران را مطابق با متن زير به مردم جهان مي رسانند .
همچنين دراين سفردوچرخه سواران نشان فرسنگ ها يراي صلح را از سوي مردم ايران به رسم يادبود به شهرداران شهرهاي مسير حركت به نمايندگي از مردم آن كشورها هديه مي كنند.
قراراست اين چهارده دوچرخه سواران ايراني سفرخودرا ازرم پايتخت ايتاليا آغازكنند.
